By virtue of the powers vested in me
by law, I, Edward L. Loeb, Mayor of
the City of Opelousas, La., do hereby
issue this, my proclamation, designat
ng. in conformity with the provisions
of the Charter of said City,
Tuesday, April 21st, 1914,
as the date for a general election to be
held throughout the City of Opelpusas,
La., for the purpose of electing the fol
lowing officers, viz: A mayor, a mar
shal, an alderman from the first w-rd
of said City, an aldernian from the sec
ond ward of said city, an alderman
from the third ward of said City, an
alderman from the fourth ward of said
City, an alderman-at-large for said City.
Said election to be held in conform.
ity with the general election laws of
the State of Louisiana and within the
legal hours on said day, and at the
respective polling places of said City.
