GIRLS LEAVE FOR SHORT COURSE AT BATON ROUGE Mrs. L. G. Kirk, home demonstration agent for St. Landry parish, and Miss Lena Marine, assistant agent left for Baton Rouge Thursday with nine girls to attend the annual short course for girls and boys of the dif ferent clubs. Mrs. Kirk took six girls sent by the parish: Pearl Lafleur Grand Prairie, Louise Montgomery, dairy club, Edna Lahey, Palmetto poultry club, Sedonia Castille, Leon ville, Luna Andrepont, Mallet, Bell Burleigh, Sunset garden club. Misses Marie Louise oMills, Olive Lahey and Lynn Burleigli liso accompanied them. The short' course began on the 29th of July and will run through the 5th of August. Thq boys and girls have planned for them a full program of work and amusemdxt. Their time will be divided among swmming, at tending picture shows, auto riding, canning, poultry judging, dairy, orch ard and garden work. We are looking to the t.
