On the December 19th I took the train be at Zona for Bush, where I was thej due to begin a vocal music school. goin On my arrival at Old Hebron, for y, this was the name of the church, ers I met the same cordial welcome in ti as before, this being the sixth Hill session. Now we find ourselves to a at work. After teaching five days givil we vacated for the concert, her which was gotten up by Prof. J. ture T. Barnes, the efficient teacher hou of that place. The program was the good and well rendered by all the ly ii pupils. In connection with the lect concert, we had a beautiful xmas sie tree which was enjoyed by all thai present and good behavior pre- the vailed. On Xmas eve, the writ- ing er boarded a train for New Or. of I leans, where we saw Old Santa Pal fully demonstrated. But the most I exciting feature was the Inter- of l national Aviators arising several ins hundred feet from the earth and He then alighting. While I stood wa and gazed, the thought came to wo me, What Will Man Do Next? It tut is now four-thirty, I am on my chi way home and after reaching my home, 1 found. God's kind protecting care hovering over around loved ones. Sunday Dec. 25th. I heard an able sermon on the birth of our Pot Savior delivered by Rev. E. F. sic Corkern. There is much talk of plant ing peanuts and I guess some will try them. We have been hearing ever since the war, talk of the new South and what won derful developments the brain and muscle of the Southern man was going to produce, has been the prophecy given out bu. as the holy writ says, whether they be prophesies they shall fail and they did for the boll weevil is going to make it. Your correspondent with oth ers was given a treat yesterday in the Auditorium of the Sunny Hill School House by listening to a lecture by Miss Dixie Dees giving a detailed description of her travels in Europe. This lec ture which lasted about two hours and was interesting from the start to finish and was high. ly instuctive. Miss Dees is a fine lecturer and the splendid de scription of her travels proves that she gave a close study of the countries and people of Wash iugton Parish should be proud of her as she is a Washington Parish girl.
