In response to the call about forty men and women, represent ing different organizations, met at the (J. of C. rooms Monday night to discuss plans for Armistice Day, stimulated by the wonderful celebration of last year, which was partici Dated in by the whole parish and universally conceded as the biggest and most successful one ever "pulled off" iu ye ancient citie. As was mete and proper, the American Legion was placed at the head and with the cooperation of all tbe other organizations will plan to have a great parish-wide celebration, everybody individual ly and collectively to take a per sonal interest in honor of this great day. Mr. Edwin MeClung, Commander of the American Le gion, is chairman and with the central committee will prepare a 'program and submit same at tbe meeting to be held tomorrow night, which of course will be subject to change. FORM OF PROCES VERBAL OF CANVASS OF RETURNS Be it known and remembered, that on this the 6th day of October, 1921, at 12 m., in accordance with Ordinance No.-of the Parish School Board of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, enact ed on the 29th dav August, 1921, notice of which was issued and published ac cording to law, the undersigned mem bers of the Natchitoches parish school board of Natchitoches parish Louisiana being a quorum thereof, met in public session at the office of said board in said parish, and according to law open ed the ballot boxes used in, and which were received from the commissioners of the election held on Tuesdav, the 4th day of October, 1921, in school dis trict No. 17, in accordance with said ordinance, and there proceeded to count the ballots both in number and amount, for and against, to deter mine the proposition to levy a five j mills ($.005; special tax on all the , property subject to taxation in school j district No. 17, pariah of Natchitoches,, Louisiana, annually, for a period of i one year, for the purpose of giving j additional aid to the public school of j the said school district.
