Mliller. Lake Charles La. Dear Sir: Would you like to hear of a 20-year paint? Mr James A O' Neil's house, Hen derson, N C, was painted 2u years ago with Deyoe load-ant;-zinc, and never painted again till last year: it then looked better than common paint in half that t;min. The reason is: Devon is all paint and true paint: whiile the common paints are jpart true and part false. Don't pli., to ii:tkiey with paint. And Devot costs less then any of 'em: not by the gallon, of course: by the house and year. That's how to reckon it. Go l;y the name. Preceeding the camp meeting there will be a state encampment of the Baptist Young People's Ltnion of four day's dura tion, begining June 20th, and closing the 25th on the camp ground. The railroads will make a one-way rate for round trip. For Rent. Two buildings on south side of Railrod Arecane for rent. The build ing recently vacated by the Jourual oillice would make an admirable hotel, with restaurant on first flour and kitchen and dining room in rear, with eight comfortable, cool add nicely papered rooms on. the secone flour. This annlounce it ent is miiado on the authority of Iler- i) Iman Siciklen, who holds the ninlhety lper cent colntrolling interest in the K. I e. S. It will be an easy maitter for the Kanlsas City Southern to get a ftothold in New Orleans. It is probable that nothing will be done in the matter of changing the policy of the Kansas City Southern until the election of the new president Mr. Edson is effected. This will be done at the New York meeting to be held shortly. MIr. Edson is a member of the new board and his election is as.ured. He represents the Siecklen intetrests and will carry (lit the policy of that gentleman and his associates. There is every reason to believe that the Kansas City Southern will in the course of a little time become known is a Hill Iroperty or as closely allied to that master promoter, J. J. Hill. As such the K. C. S. will become the '.,nnel through which all the Hill roads in the northwest will find easy and un obstructed entry to the harbor of N' w Orleans.
