What the Copy Boy Wrote.
Rtepre.entative Dan Anth ony of
Kansas, loibUlsher of the Leavenworth
Tlne-, once had an office toy who
yearned to know how to use a type
writer--w hich ac omnplishmet:t, the
boy figured, would make him a regular
reporter.
Anthony turned an old broken-down
machine over to him, says the M ash
ington Herald, and bade him learn to
run it.
"What'll I write?" the boy asked.
"Oh, just take sonme sentence, any
sentence at all," Anthony told him.
"and see how long it will take you to
till a page with it."
The boy set to work. An hour or
two later Anthony chanced to notice
the page on which the lad had been
working. From top to bottom of the
sheet, and from margin to margin, the
boy had written one sentence over and
ever again until there was scarcely a
white spot visible on the paper. The
sentence the boy had selected to prac
tice with was: "Who the - invent
ed school?"

"You don't claim to be a party
leader?"
"No," replied the quiet citizen.
"Everybody wants to be the leader of
the party. It strikes me that some
body ought to be willing to be the
party." I

WELCOME WORDS TO WOMEN
Women who suffer with disorders peculiar to their
sex should write to Dr. Pierce and receive free the
advice of a physician of over 40 years' experience
-a skilled and successful specialist in the diseases
of women. Every letter of this sort has the most
careful consideration and is regarded as sacredly
confidential. Many sensitively modest women write
frilly to Dr. Pierce what they would shrink from
telling to their local physician. The local physician
as pretty sure to say that he cannot do anything
without "an examination." Dr. Pierce holds that
these distasteful examinations are generally need
les, and that no woman, except in rare cases, should submit to
Dr. Pierce's treatment wil cure you right in the privaor -1
