Gary the second prise, a balt dosen oake plates; Mrs. L. . Vautier the third prise, an oriantal bust; Mrs. a. 0. Bienenu ,won the booby. Min. Maria Hebert of Breaux Bridge and Mrs. Walter Brorssard of Opeloesas were the guests of the club.. Befreshments sad oakes were served to the guests after the euchre. The next entertainment of the club will be by Mrs. Lei zaire Bienvenu. -A very heavy rain fel[ Wed. needay morning that caused the bayou to rise several feet. The indications at this time are that there will be lots of water this coming spring. The swampers will probably have all the water they want for floating their tim ber, and the planters on the low lands may have more than they want. All will depend, however, on the weather and the melting of the ice and snow that find their way in the rivers emptying in the Missiesippi. The prospects right I now are for plenty of water. -To-day and to-morrow large numbers of our people will leave for New Orleans to see the Mardi Gras celebration and all the plea sares of the Carnival City.
