There will be an excursion from Arnandville and Breaux Bridge here tomorrow on account of the Races at Ledoux's Race Track. There will be a sermon at night and (luring holy week there will be sermons twice a day, in the morning and at night. The Mission will be conducted by Rev. Father Materne who is well known here and another distin guished priest. This Missions especially during holy week draws large numbers of people to the church. A HINT TO TRAVELERS. While in Suffolk. Va., Henry Croll, Jr.. proprietor of the Beaverton, Mich.. Hard ware Co., was taken very sick with bow el trouble. A traveling salesman from Saginaw, Mich., advised him to get a bottle of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy, which he did. Lfhbbe. -The town oil boat was given a trial last Sunday evening and everything worked in a very satis factory manner. The boat was completed this week and is now ready to be put in commission. It is estimated this boat will make from 6 to 7 miles an hour. Sihe can easily make a trip to the Breaux Bridge pipe line and re turn the samu day. The Power 1 plant here has bought a large amount of oil from the Anse.la Butte field. The saving in the cost of transportation will be - about seventy-five per cent. and this baving will soon pay for the boat and the management will be saved a great deal of trouble and aunxiety in not having to depend on the unreliable and irregular rail-road transportation.
