Caddo Parish, Louisiana. ARTICLE II. The purposes and objects for which this corporation is formed are hereby declared to be: To buy. own, sell. exchange, or otherwi.s'. deal in lands for the development of oil, gas, or other minerals ei ther by developing said lands by this corporation, or by contracting with others for the development of such lands; to contract for drilling wells for oil, gas, or other miner als, or for water, or for any other purposes ,and to sub-let such con tracts; to purchase or acquire leases on lands for the purpose of developing the same for oil, gas. or other minerals; and to sell, assign,! or sub-lease the same for the same purposes. ARTICLE III. All citations or other legal pro 'ess shall be served upon the President of the Corporation, or in the event of his absence, upon the, Vise-PisPidea, or -int the eveni-o t the absence of both of thenm( upon! the Secretary or Treasurer. ARTICLE IV. The period of 'the existence or duration of this corporation is hereby fixed at Twenty-five years from the date of this act unless sooner dissolved under the provi sions of law. ARTICLE V. This corporation shall have pow er to contract, sue and be sued; to make and use a corporate seal, and the same to alter at pleasure; to hold, receive, purchase, lease, sell, and convey, as well as hypothecate and mortgage, in its corporate name any property which it may own; to appoint such officers as the btisi ness of this corporation shall re quire; to make such by-laws, rules / and regulations for the government of this corporation as may be nec essary, and the same to alter or change at will. ARTICLE XII. Tile incorporators and directors of this corporation hereby purchase and take over for said corporation all and singular. the following des cribed property, previously owned by A. F. Tarver, to-wit: Three drilling rigs complete, in cluding approximately ten thous and (10.000) feet of two (2) inch pipe; also two (2) drill stems at least twenty-five hundred (25,000) feet in length; also camp equipment complete; also three Ford cars and one Dodge truck; also 2 blacksmith shops complete; also two contracts one with Texana Oil and Refining Ctmpany, on Noel Lease. Well No, f in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, and one with Kronenberg et al, on - lease in Red River Parish, Louis iana. The incorporators and directors ol this corporation hereby value and appraise the above described pro perty at hirty-fiva Thousand ($35,000.00) Dollars, and the balance of the authorized capital stock shall be paid for in cash. For said pro perty including said cash, there shall be issued to A. F. Tarver One Hundred and Sixty-eight (168) shares of the capital stock of this corporation oo the par value of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars each to represent his interest therein and there' shall be issued to E. P Bennett One Hundrtd and Sixty-sib (166) Shares of the capital stock ol this corporation of the par value o1 One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars each to represent his interest therein and there shall be issued to A. State of Louisiana, Parish of Caddo: Before me. the undersigned no tary public, in and for Caddo Par ish. Louisiana, duly commissioned and qualified. came and appeared Andrew Querbes, president of the First Savings Bank and Trust Com pany of Shreveport, La., who de clereg that in accordance with a resolution adopted at a meeting of the stockholders of the First Sav ings Bank and Trust Company of Shreveport, held at the office of the corporation on December 28th, 1918, after due and legal notice given to each stockholder, the first sen tence of Article I of the Charter of the First Savings Bank and Trust Company of Shreveport, La., is here amended so as to read as fol lows: "The name and style of this cor poration shall be the City Savings Bank and . rust Company of Shreveport, La," and the second sentence of Article 4 of the Charter of 'the First Savings Bank and Trust Company of Shreveport, La., is hereby amended so as to read as. follows: "The said Board shall be com posed of not less than fifteen nor more than twenty-five stockhold ers, to be elected as hereinafter pro vided."
