President Mitchell is arranging to send more organizers into the strike regions of West Virginia and Kentucky on Monday morn ing, in an effort to complete the organization of the soft coal workers there before the con vention to vote on the national strike question is held. Atpres ent not more than half the men t are firmly organized, and any little break in the ranks would be a loss hlard for the strikers to overcome; for this reason the convention was ])lace, four weeks hence. Mitchell refused today to dis cuss the situation in Ohio, Indi ana, Illinois and Iowa. He says the outlook in West Virginia is encouraging. Mob Captures Town Hall. Ev Union Associateod Press. Heywood Bros. have lately pur chased of Messrs. Caldwell & Ray the steamer "Oscar G." and the two tugs "Goldie" and "Two Brothers," together with thir teen barges. They have also purchased the tug "Bernie Holmes'" and six barges of the McCain Bros. and the steamer Henrietta of Senator H. C. Drew. It is the intention to combine these craft and incorporate into one coIn ip Ly. The policy of the new company will be the same as that of the old. "Equal rights to all, special privileges to none." It will be their earnest endeav or to enjoy the same kindly feel ing and the same confidence of their patrons that has been en joyed by their predecessors.
