Edwards. 2w *ITALY MAKES KNOWIN HER IClaims in Regard to the Arbitration of the Claims. By Union Associated Press. Rome, Dec. 26.-The only con ditions which Italy has attached to her acceptance of arbitration of the Venezuelan difficulties are that all points in dispute shall be submitted to the arbitrators, so that no question shall be left un decided, and that Italian claims must be considered on an equal ity with those of other powers. A large crowd was persent at the United Brethren church Christmas eve to witness a pro grain, consisting of music and recitations, which was well ren dered by the children. Afler the program Santa Claus and his wife, assisted by two girls, dis tributed a treat of candies, nuts, oransges and apples frmn a beautt fuly decorated tree,. CONGREGATIONAL. The Congr. gational church was prettily decorated with holly and ivy vines. Harry Eaton, p'aying the part of Santa Claus, created a panic among the little folks by rushing in among them as they were singing a song. All present say it was a success in every way. METHODIST. At the Methodist church an interesting program was ren dered. The church was "nicely decorated with ever-greens which gave it a very beautiful ap pearance. CATHOLIC. The Catholic church was dec orated in a becoming manner, and a crib, giving an imitation of the manger, was arranged in the left hand corner of the church. At the 10 o'clock high mass, the choir rendered an elegant program of music, that was in spiring to the occasion, and added a deep solemnity to the comy memoration of Christ's birth.
