Lorens, a famous orthopedic
specialist sailed for London this
morning on the White Star liner
Celtic. He has performed a hun
dred and fifty operations for con
genial dislocation of the hip dur
ing his visit, and says his patients
are doing well.
He expressed his gratitude to
the Americans for kindness and
will return next Summer.

Madrid, Dec. 31.--A panic with
fatal result occured at a bull fight
at the equestrian circus today.
The spectators were enraged at
one of the matadors who was un
able to kill the bull and threaten
ed to destroy the circus.
The manager released two
other bulls which stampeded
throu'h the circus, killing three
persons and injuring fifty-two.
