CONGRESSMEN PLEAD FOR MARYLAND MARINES Representatives Frederick N. Zihi man and Carville I>. Benson were in the delegation of representatives ami senators who called yesterday on Ad miral Clark, judge advocate of the navy, in the interest of the 28 mem bers of the United States Marine Corps who have been sent to prison for terms ranging from eight to l‘> years. Among the marines are two Mary land boys, fine from Congressman Zihlman’s district and one from Con gressman Henson’s district. MANY BOND HOLDERS FAIL TO COMPLY Many holders of Liberty Loan I Bonds have failed to comply with the j request made ty the government re lative to the conversion of the first !converted 4s and the second Liberty Loan 4 pr cent, bonds into the 4*4 per cent, issue. The first converted 4s were issued with only sufficient coupons to meet the interest up to December If. and should make the change prior to that date. The sec ond 4s have coupons for November 15 payment, and those who wish to make ihe change to get the higher rate of interest should do so immediiately. For those who wish to make no change, the government will provide additional coupons to attach to the 1 onds and deliver them about the first | of the year.
