Men’s Christian Associations in the different towns on the Eastern Shore, a convention looking to which will be held shortly at Ocean City, de serves the support of the people of this county, not less than tnat of the people of oilier counties throughout Maryland. It is not likely that such an orga- . nization could accomplish from the | beginning all that it should or all \ that it does accomplish in those places where it has been for many years an accomplished fact. For a Y. M. C. A. to do its best work, it needs a building containing first and foremost a gymnasium, equipped with the proper appliances for exercise, with a running track, swimming pool, baths, etc. There should, of course, be reading rooms, an office, and an assembly hall would not be amiss. It should furnish, in short, an opportunity for healthful, invigo rating exercise, and for recreation under the best obtainable influences. Only' those who have had the benefit of the use of such a building can estimate the value to the young man or boy afforded by it. It would, perhaps, be too much to hope that the Y. M. C. A. could start Mr Cambridge in such away, but if it starts in any other way, its found ers jshould have as their goal the Erection or the conversion of just such a place, preferably the former. With all the space the armory af fords, it seems possible that tempo rary headquarters could be secured there, and a beginning made to wards the creation of a gymnasium, We Buy United States Liberty : Bonds, Any Issue, at par value, and Accrued Interest, Subject to Following Conditions: ; 1. Are you one of them? Mrs. M. R. Searl, Baldinsville, N. Our druggist advised me to take Chamberlain’s Tablets, I took a bottle home and the first dose relieved me wonderfully, and I kept on taking them until I was cured.” These tablets do not relieve pain, but after the pain has been relieved may 1 prevent its recurrence. —Adv.
