Fighting war is noth Sig new, especially between two na tions, but between two or more na tions as is today puts attitudes of wonder and grief and soi’row into many person’s reach. WROTE OF WAR recall just now' the article I wrote MJPoout 16 or 18 months ago in which I ^ said that I did not think war w’ould be in this nation under the next 18 or 24 months; that the war monster, Mr. Hitler, would never attack the U. S. for the reason that he, Mr. Hitler, knew his business; and if w’ar was ever intered into, the U. S. propa ganda would be the forerunner of it. I was not positive in the vei’acity of that statement, but could not refrain from writing it. Now we are in W'ar, and in it actually, not indirectly, but directly; not partially, but wholly, not cowardly, but boldly, not specifically but generally; not racially, but na tionally'. Denominating Power The denominating power of the world today is held in the providence of Almighty God, and I dare to pre dict the motion for whom it is held. The chain store cashier who asked me what I thought about the war agreed with me when I said I hardly knew. It is very discouraging to predict any outcome because if its possible per vision. Army’s Camp Wednesday To Fight For His Country CHAMPION TURNS IN "BELT” TO UNCLE SAM Joe Louis, not only the world’s greatest pugilist, but he “steps up” loyalty for a great American.
