Per Cent Reserve, A. C. WIPER. President The State and Federal Banking Certainly Good Ones™ They compel all banks doing business in the state to pub lisha statement of their finan cial condition five times a year The Statements are publishd for the bene efit of the public, and if the same is given careful attention, the public will know the eral condition of the banks, and thereby be able to determine the good ones from the poor The same laws reguire all banks in the state to carry at least 20 per cent of their total deposits in cash at all times. This reserve is for the protection of depositors. Herewith are copies of the statements of condition of the three banks in Bowbells at the close of business Sept. 4, 1912: First National Deposits, $ 113,030.79 Cash Reserve, 43,820.40 3 4- well known to all money borrowers in this community, and the First State $96,399.82 7,196,50 71 OF Burke Co. State $7,013.11 4,768.11 FARM LOANS (J We are better prepared now than ever to make farm loans. We represent the following loan companies, both of which have an unlimited amount of funds: Wells & Dickey Company, of Minneapolis Alliance Mortgage Loan and Investment Co. of Manchester, England Cf We have made hundreds of loans in the Bowbells country for the latter company in the past 10 years, and out of the whole number not a single foreclosure was made. The company has always carried the interest from year to year until the farmer was able to pay it. If you contemplate making a farm loan call at our bank and we will give you a list of your neighbors who have made loans from this company through us. Ask these neighbors what kind of treatment they received. Living advertisements are the best. C[ We are now making farm loans at 8 per cent interest, and are giving the borrower the privilege of paying $100 or any multiple of $ 100 on the note any time after the second year. This provision is printed on the note and is made a part thereof. U/ie First National Bank UNDER THE SAME MANAGEMENT FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS-ALWAYS GROWING NO. 7116.
