Misss Graoe Heyen, tho teacher, left for her home at Hillsboro, N. D. on Monday. The pupils were in hopes the school'would continue all win ter. Mrs .John Stewart and son Char lie and her daughter, Mrs. Bell DuMars went to Kenmare Tuesday to do some Christmas shopping and visited a few days with her. son John Stewart, Jr., and family. They returned'home Thursday. Bert Turner came back with the Stewarts from Kenmare and has been staying with the Piersoon Canli-. ly visiting. We are all glad to see him back in the hills again. Mrs. Charlie Wallace was in Ken mare a few days the fore part of .the week. School No. 2 gave a program Monday night and a, large crowd was present. The teacher had candy and fruit for the chidlren and also pop corn. The program was great ly enjoyed by all. I Jan. 9 Mrs. Burt Turner and Mrs. Pier son and daughter Priscilla were In Coteau Monday. Mrs. Charlie Wallace and her two small chidren moved into Kenmare the day after Christmas where they will live during the winter as Mr. Wallace has empoyment there. Gerald Wallace and Clifford Sum mers will stay out in the hills and tal'te care of the stock and bach it alone. Mr. Fraser called at the Knaup home Saturday. William Collins called at the Clif ford Summers home Thursday. Herbert Fraser was in Coteau Monday with a load of grain. Jack Stewart and family, Albert Thompson, Mr Turner, Mrs. Jack Stewart's father from Minnesota came out in the hills from Kenmare Christmas day and celebrated Christmas at the home of Jack Ste wart's mother. They I went back the following day, and, Mrs. Bell Du Mars ana son Johnnie went back with them. Mrs. DuMars will work in Kenmare while her son goes to school. Mike Conway went to Niobe- Sat urday on business. Miss Marguirite Nelson went to Bowbells Monday to spent Christma with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Moaher, who sold out here a few years r.go and moved to Wisconsin, have mpved back here, and are now living on their homestead again, where Mr. Grill lived since they left. Ger.
