Killion, a gentleman of ability and experience, formerly of Iowa. For tl»« past year or two the paper was owned by a stock company., in which our old friends R. A. Fox and Henry Eiickson were stock holders, but the storms and breakers Which so often disturb tbe peaceful «or(ace of the sea of journalism were too much for Bob's uervotis system, and he Was anxious to transfer his captaincy to a navigator of sterner stuff, and Mr. Kiiiion is the fortriuate -subject of the trrusacuon, Spccess to Br.i. The body was without a coat or bat, but otherwise the tnan seemed have been tAell dressed. There was nothing found on the^ody to indicate who the man ras. IJu waa probably 25 years old. A Kut 16in money was found in tbe pocket ^telegram from Seattle intimates tha ue man may have be$n Charles PfisU rpt John Folk. Coroner Thomas took large of the body and will bold an inquest to-day. Tbe coroner thinks tbe body must have lain on the prajrie-aince December, and from stories told it is thought that tbe man was some what demented, as several persons think they saw hiib during the winter.' S. D. Cummins, an old-tiine Emmons county rancher, arrived iu tfuliston this morniug with the^view^ looking up a stock ranch. Mr/Cummins comes to us with, a strong\jp4oininendation from our old friend D. R. Streeter of the Emmons County Record, aud theiefore we cordially vouch for his credentials. Speculation as to who will control the affairs of Williston'for the next year is being indulged in bv a few who are most interested in the welifare of tbe town. The present board of trustees, viz: Chas. Baldwin, Dr. Belyeaand Samuel Boyd, have conducted the affairs of the village with the utmost economy, baVing levied no tax whatever upon the people for town purposes, but by strict business methods have paid the running expens es of the corporation through other channels. In view of these facts, the people can do no better than to retain them for another year. For liver troubles and constipation There's nothing better in creatiou Than Little Early Risers, the famous liltle pills They always effect a cure and saye doc tor bilis. Kirkendahl, who is working for Sam. Bo^vd, met with a painful accident Tuesday. The team he was driving be came unmanageable and ran away. The wagon struck a fence post, and Mr. Kirkendahl was thrown to the ground With great violence, striking partially on his head, and shoulders. To day Mr.Kirkehdabl is report ed as getting along very nicely, except that bis neck is still in bad shape. Bobbed The G-rave. A startling incident, is narrated by John Oliver of Phildelpbia, as follows: '•I was in awful condition. My skin was almost yellow, eyes sunken, tongue coated, pain continually in back and side, no appetite, growing weaker day by day. Three phywciins gave me up. Then 1 was advised to use Electric Bit tert to my g»eat joy, the first bottle made a decided improvement. I contin ut-d their use for three weeks, and am now a well man. I know they robbed the grave of another victim." No one should f»il to try them. Only 50c guar anteed, at Brownell & McPhee's. "A Wise Woman" given at the Opera Honse last Monday evening was, iu one sense of the word, a grand fake. Although the actors staged the play admirably, and each one performed his or her part in an easy and familiar man ner, yet in many instances the acting seemed to he oyerdone and in an ex travagant style. What makes the play a stupendous fraud is tbe fact that tbe title under which it is played is in no wise in accordance with the play itself. We have no fault to find with the actors, for they are artists in their line, but the management is imposing upon the public by their advertising and their prices. The pl*y is simply a comedy without merit, which can be rendered by anv stock company with equal effect. It is a good piece for a variety show, and belongs to the "extravaganza" class of co'aedies, and of which, if played well, will please an average andience. Taken all in a?K the "A W *e Woman".as played here, is a rery .Sejuaive nerfTrasncie i~ twt —r- ~nr-~ AfVftratiofc ftlrfkt help the editorial troubles at Ellendale.
