Billings, a farmer residing near Lisbon raised 50 acres of macaroni wheat this year. His average yield was 21% bushels per acre. He is selling his grain for 75 cents a bushel. He has 29 acres of this wheat on land used for corn the year before and from this land threshed 53% bushels acre. The balance of the was made up of fall and spring plowing and the best yield was on disced land. Ole K. Solemof Tunbridge was struck by a large stone thrown by Albert Knutson, Nov. 11, and died a short time after. The jury at the'inquest found Knutson guilty of the deed. They were at a dance and the stone was thrown apparently without the least pro vocation. The space asked for at the St. Louis exposition for North Dako ta is only about one-fourth what was asked for and Manager Bart lett says he will not accept it. We need just as large and as good a space as any state in the Union. John Meux went into a 37 foot well near Fessenden and was killed by gas.
