Louderback, a North Prairie farmer who recently was in the city with a four-horse team and a load of hay, lad a mean trick performed upon him by a young man named Jack Xickols, who is old enough to know better. D. •John Tofslie, who lives live miles north of the city, lias :j."V bushels timothy seed for sale at ftl.OO a bushel.- Mr. Tofslie tells us that from three acres of tim othy last fall, he threshed .-to bushels of seed, and had a lot of good .hay left. A good part of the seed was not threshed out. The timothy yielded two and a half tons of fine hay to the acre and horses especially like it. Henry Auslander, the bak r, has found his business increasing to such an extent that he has let the contract to a Chicago firm to place is the basement of his build ing a large and modern oven.
