N. D. June 21-25, 1919: The convention was opened by Rev. Green of Douglas with devotlonals and address of welcome. Rev. Green took three heads for his devotion of which afterward became the incentive of the entire meeting. 1. Continue ye at Jerusalem until 1 come and tarry, not. 2. Go ye Into all the world and preach the gospel unto all people. 3. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workmen that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. After a very learned discourse upon these three heads we, had a season of prayer. Rev. Green then spoke a few words of greeting, pointing out that he would- not take time for more or formal address of welcome, but would sight the convention to the fact that the Sunday School is the recruiting of fice of the church. That in this day the young people those that are truly converted all come directly or indirectly from the Sunday School. More em phasis should be placed If possible upon the Sunday Schools as it has been proven time and again -that the things instilled' in a child's mind in the Sunday School remain thru life. In the Sunday school seed has been sown to develop the Prodigal Son or Daughter, that regard less of where they may roam or into what company they go they still have the, teachings of childhood and will eventually return to the teachings of their youth. Many cases memory of the past goes back to the Sunday school teacher. The teacher's ability to teach their example and conduct thru life are the incentive of their scholars thru their entire life. We must think at all times of the responsibility of the nation over us where are the future leaders of our nation to come from, are they to come thru the church7 Where are -they now? Are they In the Sunday School or on the Streets? Wlho do 'you want for a leader, those equipped or built for God, or those that have srpung up without God? What are the qualifications of a Sun day School teacher? Go ye into all the world and preach .the gospel. 'How are you preaching It? Wow are you spread ing it to Minot, Douglas, Des Lacs, Bur lington or to Wkurd county? Vou must preach it farther or more than one half hour each Sunday. Probably, you are not even present every Sunday. Tour Sunday School teachers probably a good formula would be John 3 to read sev eral times carefully: "We must be born again." We have an illustration of a Sunday School teacher that in structed their class each Sunday in re gar« getting a religious experience, at last the teacher said, "why don't «you young people get this experience", one of the class replied "Why don't you?". This put the teacher to thinking until she finally: was converted by the grace of God. Study to show thyself approved. Th%t does not mean that you should study one half hountuh ««tk ud think, you are doing sufficient wuvattfdy until you know you are approved and '.!'!• I" I of the fa mous Graduola. Prof. Chas. Ouradnlk, president of the County Association, then gave a very fitting response after which he gave a remarkable address upon "The Laymen and Evangelism", )»ut as space forbids we will have to carry this over until uoxt W6dk« The following are the resolutions adopted by the convention at Douglas, June 25, 1919.
