The thermometer registered 28 be low Saturday but the weather is nice and mild again this week. Mrs. Charles McKenzie, Eighth avenue S. E.. received a wire Monday informing her of the death of a broth er at Detroit, Mich. Mrs. McKen zei left on No. 4 Tuesday morning for Grant, Michigan, where the inter ment will take place. F. H. Anhorn, well known Max farmer, arrived Monday to spend a few weeks in Minot on the jury. Mr. Anhorn is the father of eight children. He tried' living in town for two years, but decided that a man with a large family should be on a farm, so moved back. Dr. A. M. Hardaway writes friends from Pass Christian, Miss., where he is busily engaged in trying to beat President-elcct Harding's fishing rec ord. He states that he attended the Mardi Gras in New Orleans. "Lots of ducks we missed last fall are down here enjoying themselves," he states. nybrook farmer, arrived in Minot to day and will be a witness in a case to come up tomorrow. Mr. Schwede has all of his tillable land, 180 acres, plowed^ and ready to seed as early as convenient in the spring. He says many of the farmers did much fall plowing.
