THE LABOR ADVOCATE STONE CUTTERS WIN RAISE Boston. As the result of a compro mise agreement reached between the wage committee of Journeymen Stone Cutters' Union of North America and the members of the Natural and Arti ficial Stone Manufacturers' Association the strike of tiic 300 union stone cutters for increased wages and other better ments, has been called off. The new agreement between the union and the employers gives the men in the shops C2J4 cents an hour for a 44-hour week and 05 cents an hour for work on buildings. The men were getting SGJ4 cents an hour in the shops and were seeking 05 cents an hour in the shops and 70 cents an hour for work on build ings. The strike involved all shops in Boston and within the CO-milc jurisdic tion of this city controlled by the union. Bell of the Superior Court, Atlanta, issued an injunction against Chris Clinc pre venting any interference on his part in the operation of street cars in this city. The street car men of Atlanta arc on a strike and participated to the number of 700 ina big street parade. Mr. Clinc is president of the Blue Grass Union of Northern Kentucky cities and has been most successful in. settling labor disputes, not only in his own territory, but at other cities in the south. Mr. Cline's home is in Bcllcvue, Ky. JUDGES WANT LIVING WAGE. Lansin" Mich. The Circuit Judges' Union, officially known as the Michigan Association of Circuit Judges, has de manded a living wage. The present rate is $3,500 a year. At a meeting of the union, held in this city, it was resolved to ask the legislature to raise these fig ures to $5,000. In discussing methods to secure this increase one member refer red to the advantage of lobbying and the august body became panic stricken. JUTE MILLS ADVANCE PAY. Patcrson, N. J.
