At its last meeting the union appointed an emergency peace committee consisting of Ernest Ilolmi, Secictary of the Cen tial Federated Union; Rudolph Modest, general organiser of the Amalgamated Meat Cuttcis and lititchcr Workmen of North Aniciica; and William Kelly, bus iness lcprcsentativc of the Copper smiths' Union. This committee will co opeiate with the American Neutral Cou fcienec Committee in gathering a great olumc of public opinion so that Presi dent WiUou will feel assured of ade quate suppoit in any effort he may make. The Ametican Neutral Confcience Committee is the one organization in Aniciica foimcd for the express purpose of doing evcij thing possible to hasten the day of a permanent peace.
