WE INVITE YOU Many Attend Homecoming Excellent Dinner, Supper, Pro grain Enjoyed Wednesday At Celebration Held at Lafayette A good crowd attended the home coming and fish fry of the Lafayette MethotMt church circuit which was held dn Wednesday in the Campbell grove near the village, north of here on U. S. 40, the National pike in cel ebration of fixe completion of the new concrete paving from Lafayette, west to the village of Summerford. An excellent crowd partook offhe fish dinner at the noon hour and the supper meal. A program was enjoyed in the aft ernoon, headed by an address by Judge Roscoe G. Hornbeck, of London, judge of the second district court of appeals. An engineer of the state highway de partment was unable to attend because of business in the office in Columbus. Special music was provided by the Lafayette orchestra and the London Creamery band. In the baseball game in the after noon, Plumwood defeated Lafayette, 12 to 2. It was originally planned to have the new paving open for the celebra tion, but this was not possible because of the unfinished condition of the road. The highway will not be open for through traffic for at least three weeks .or,a month, it is stated. Mother of London Resident Dies Mrs, Joseph Calland, aged 85 years, mother of*Mr?. F. B. Robinson, Elip street, London, died at her1 home ih Summerfield on Saturday and the fu neral service and burial took place on Monday at Summerfield. Mrs. Calland is survived by her husband, who is 87 years of age, the one daughter, Mrs. Robinson, and one son, W. H. Calland, of Summerfield. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, Mr. apd Mrs. Wolford Jones and family, of [London, Mrs. Harold Slagle and Miss [Mildred Robinson, of* Columbus, at tended the funeral service. ... o Returns From Hospital Miss Helen Kilgore, assistant in the office of Dr. H.
