intoxicating liquors. This. unfits him not
only for decent society but renders him un
fit for the duties that rests upon him in
providing for the comforts of his family.
The time has come for action. The sea
son of the year has at lat arrived when an
opportunity ii afforded lha Amerlonti peo
ple of turning their thoughts to this great
and important snbject. The question arises:
How can we concentrate our efforts so as
to lie the most beneflr ial to society, and
reach the hearts of all olasses of the hu
man race that may oome under our super-
