F. D. Spencer, until recently secre
tary of the Knox Tire '& 'Rubber Co.,
was arraigned before Judge P. B
Blair in common pleas court Friday
morning at 11:30. A plea of not aui
ty was made to the -two Indictment?
found against the -defendant by the
grand Jury at Its recent session, i
charging embezzlement.
The court fixed tho bond at ?1,000(
for each of ths charges. This was 'inv'
mediately glvon by Spencer through
a bonding company.
Spencer was represented In court
by Judge Meals of Cleveland. 'He In
formed the court thnt application 'for
a change of venue will be made by
tho defendant and that tho -papers
will be prepared and ready to filo in
Knox county common pfens court by
next Alonday. 'i
Upon receiving this Information 'the
court indicated tendlness to receive
the application and promised to give
it early consideration.
After Spencer hnd been Indicted -by
the grand Jury of the May term -of
court on a charge of embezziemeht
and violating tho Blue skylaw, he
filed application for a dhange of 'von
ue and Judge Blair granted 'the ap
plication and sent the case to Mt.'Gll
cad where thoy were tried before

common pleas court.
