J v t t A beautiful affair of the week was the party given Wednesday afternoon by Miss Hattle Mae Loretz in honor of Miss Eva Hunter, whose engagement to Edward P. Rankin was announced, the wedding to take place October 4. The b'riday colors of white and green were chosen for the decorative effects, and was carried out In the sqore cards, refreshments, and in the floral adorn ments of white carnations and ferns. The afternoon was enjoyably spent in playing "five hundred" and at the conclusion of the games Miss-Frances Mayfleld was presented with the favor for the high score, a dainty pincush ion hand embroidered In pink. Miss Jenevie Anderson was awarded the second prize, also a pincushion, hand embroidered in blue, and the honor guest, Miss Eva Hunter was present ed with a beautiful bridejs book. Two course refreshments were en joyed, the first course being served in little suit cases, suggestive of the ap proaching wedding journey. Attached to the suit cases were the dainty hand painted cards bearing the rannounce ment of the engagement.
