shire of the Rev. Chas. Slingsby, "Were,
concluded in the probate court triiay.

The Slingsby suit Involves the ques
tion whether the infant born In San
Francisco and declared to be the law
ful son of Chas. R. Slingsby and h$s
wife, Dorothy, is the rightful successor
to the valuable Slingsby estates.
Lieut Slingsbj Inherited an English
estate, but bv a special provision an

a child in San Francisco. Testimony
taken before the district attorney of
San Francisco tended to show that
the Slingsby heir had died .and that

the probate court in London, Decem

pils of the Lamar school, after which
he sold Heralds on the street.
Thursday afternoon, after the Rotary
club luncheon, tie was taken to the
High -school, Vhere he .talked to an
interested audience of students which
comfortably filled the auditorium.
"Chimmie" told of his life as a news
.boy in New York anT"of many exciting
and peculiar experiences gained while
rubbing up against the "seamy" side
of things in the great city in which he
made his home and earned his ham
and beans as a vndor of newspapers.
He closed his talk with a "college
yell," which gave him an opportunity
to exploit his big voice, to the surprise
bf all who heard it and to the edifica
tion of the youngsters who we glad
to get a few pointers on class yelling
for use later; on in their school course.
Delights Soldier.

was driven to the camp of the 16th In
fantry, where he talked to as many
men of the regiment as could b crowd
ed into the exchange building. He
told stories in his inimitable dialect,
comnlimented the men of the American
I. army upon their fine appearance and
I their exploits on the rifle range and in
other fields of soldierly activity, all of
which betokened clean living and urged,
them" to continue to keep themselves
clean, physically, mentally and morally,
in order that they might be in condi
tion to maintain the enviable record
they have achieved among the fighting
men of the world.
Saturday afternoon '"Fadden" will
talk to the unemployed of the city at
an open air meeting to be held at
Cleveland square at 3 ocloek. Ar
rangements have been made to seat at
least 1000 of those who coma to hear
the apostle of physical, mental and
moral cleanliness as steps toward suc
cess in this world and everlasting lite
in the world to come.

At S:45 Sunday morning "Fadden"
will talk to the men at Fprt Bliss. At
2 ocloek he will talk to the Y. M. C. A.
in the Y. M. C. A. building, corner of
Oregon and Missouri sreets. If the
audience should tax the capacity of the
building the meeting will be adjourned
to Cleveland sq-uare, If the weather
conditions are favorable for an open
air meeting.
At 4 ocloek Sunday afternoon "Chlm
'mie" will talk to the soldiers of the
Sixth regiment, in camp in the south
ern part of the city, near the river. At
7 ocloek an evening service will be
held In the Christian church, corner of
Oregon and Franklin streets. Besides
"Fadden,'s" talk there will be vocal and
instrumental rtlusic. of a high order.
