The report was brought to the border by American refugees, who declare they recognized one as Gen. Padro Bracamonte. who commanded the revo lutionary forces in Sonora when the attack was made on Gen. Pedro Ojeda's federal command. The two others could not be seen, as they were covered with hospital sheets and are believed to have been seriously wounded. SPANIARD IS SLAIN BY CARRANZA OFFICER Washington. D. C. April 21. Caslmlro Fernandez, a Spanish subject, was shot by Capt. Loza, a Carranza official. In Puebla. Mer-. according to mall dis patches received today at the Spanish embassy. It was stated that Fernandez was dragged from his home and shot without trial. He was charged with beincimplicated in conspiracy against the government- Capt. Loza was con demned by the local government to 12 years' imprisonment. IS I.IRGKLY ATTENDED The funeral of Paz Cuilty Vda le Creel, which took place on Thursdav afternoon from the church of the Holy Family, nas largely attended. Mrs. Creel died on Tuesday at her home. 2000 Montana street. he was 88 years of t age and a native of Chihuahua, hlie came to El Paso a little over a jear ago. She is survived by three sons and one daughter. The sons are Juan A- Creel, manager of the Pioneer Mo tor company. Enrique C. Creel and Carlos Creel. Miss Maria Creel is a daughter.
