Home Building Continues Brisk Throughout City

lying additions, where many new
homes are being erected. Will K.
Marx's home in Richmond Terrace,
to cost $7500, is nearine completion,
and work is well under way on a
$5900 home for Stafford Campbell. A

Walshe will shortly start work on
a $6000 home. S. J. Heafield's S1I,

nearing completion, as is also the

man has bought 10 lots and will
build a number of bungalows.
W. A. Carmical nas started the

erty, preparatory to the building of

J E. Morgan, during the coming
week, will complete his contract for
the building of the shell for the new
$500,000 high school building, and on
Oct. :o bids will be opened for the
completion of the structure. On the
same date bids will be opened for
the building of a $60,000 addition to
the Alta Vista scnooL
The county comissioners earlier in
the week formally accepted the plan
for the $400,000 courthouse, and set
November 8 as the date for the open
ing of bids.
In practically every section of the
lusiness district buildings are In
rourse of construction, and through
out the residence sections there Is
building activity.
Building permits for September
numbered 150, representing an es
timated cost of $258,435. bringing
the figures for the first nine months
to over JI.300.000.
