Lon D Ormsby. formerly one of the Simplex racing drivers but now a fac tory representative of the Jax-Grleb Rubber company, of Trenton N J, is in the citj and announces that the Ajax tire people hae an eye on this terri tory and intend to make their slogan of "the written guarantee of SOM miles better known in the southwest. The Borderland Auto Supply com pany, southwestern distributors for the Lee tires, has announced the instala tioit of a complete vulcanizing plant and service cars are to fce added in the near future. Dickson, general manager of the National Motor Vehicle companj, -on account of the ideal location ot the carburetor and magnto, the two unite that are so quickly affeHed by water The ohnilers of the National 12 are made in two Mocks of gut each and placed at an angle of V shape. In the middle of this V immediately under the hood are located the car buretor and magneto, which are consequently high and dry at all times." In the recent tests it was found that the National 12 motor would continue to operate smoothly even when the water was up over the wheels and as much S3 four or five inches deep in the tonneau. Considerable Interest has been shown in the new Mitchells and manager W. H. Marsh reports that since the announcement that his com pany had taken the agency, there have been numerous Inquiries as to when the cars may be seen. Juan Creel, manager of the Pioneer Motor company, returned Thursday from a holiday trip to the California fairs. Jack Brace, of the International Auto compan, is on a visit to the Packard factories in an effort to expedite ship ment of that company's allotment of cars. Secures More Cart. Reporting considerable success in his efforts to have more cars allotted to this terrltorj, E. G. Perry, president of the Lone Sta- Motor company, has returned from a. trip to Cleveland, De troit and other eastern points. The shipments of Dodge cars are to be In crease, immediately to meet the heavj demands. J P. Freeman, ot the Mission garage, is back from a fortnight's trip through the territory of the concern for the Chevrolet and reports placing sub contracts for a total of 14 cars in Carrizozo. Alamogordo, Ancho. Tucum cari, Clovis. Vaughn and other New Mexico cities. "Big six" Buicks have been delivered by the international Auto company to R. W Wilraore, P E. Gardner and George Gray. All were touring cars while "big six" roadsters have been de lit ered to James Primm and John Hutching, subdealer at Alamogordo. Oierlands Selling Vast. The El Paso Overland company re ports the sale of model 81 Overland touring cars to W. Weisskopf, of San Rafael, and Sam Silverman, ot 525 South El Paso street. A carload ship ment of four model 83 Overlands has been made to the Bailey Motor Sales company, of Roswell, and another car. consisting of three model 83 Overlands and one model 86 "six" to M. R. Buchanan, of Silver City. Two car loads of Overlands are also in transit for the El Paso office. F M. Bannell. general manager of the El Paso Overland company, spent the week In Fort Stockton, Pecos, Sweet water and Dallas and expects to visit Tulsa.
