EVENTS EVER KNOWN IN EL PASO'S COMMERCIAL HISTORY
Although this eagerly anticipated occasion, inaugurates the Fall and Winter Season, and the Newest of the New has been given
utmost consideration this dpening will be most unique from a selling point differing from the ordinary openings that are given to
display and show only. We can not dwell too forcefully on the fact that never before, on the very eve of a new season has
such a harvest of value giving been offered the Buying Public of El Paso.
AND HERE IS THE REASON
There are but few women in El Paso and tributary who will not readily recall our elaborate opening display of last year, which
from point of elegance in both window and interior decoration far exceeded anything attempted before or since. The unusual daily
novelty features which introduced to El Paso for the first time Music, Souvenirs, Living Models, Refreshments and a whole
week of marvelous show and entertainment. We violate no confidence when we say that the cost of that glorious week was well
up in four figures. This year we reason that the same amount of money given to the public in the way of Substantial Price Conces
sions will be much more appreciated. Hence this novel Fall Opening which begins Monday, October Fourth taking on the form
of a merchandise offering that stands without parallel in the retail history of the Southwest. The money usually spent on decora
tions, etc., will permit us to afford you a saving of Five, Ten, Fifteen Dollars and up on as many garments as it is possible to sell in
our great Ready-to-Wear Section in one week. We are going to do this, and the mere announcement of this fact will give you
something to consider, something to think over and something to investigate. Several thousand garments (not one of them ever
