wheat had begun to accumulate rapidly at
the chief domestic centers, gate an advan
tage today to the bears. Opening prtcett
which ranged from to lc lower, with
December at 11 ; to $1 :, and stay at
Ll1k to il.UK, were followed by some,
thing of an 'adtiitiooal setback and then
a moderate rally.
The dose was nenous U to ltmc net
lower with December at SI.:1 and May at
1.3 .
Com showed a little weakness on account
of the bearish nature of the government crop
figures. After opening unchanged to c
lower, the market receded a trifle all
around, but later tended to harden.
The close was steady at a shade to 4 ac
act decline.

Other Copper Stocks Show
Declines With General
List Tuesday.
The stock market opened Tuesdsy with
slightly higher prices, but under renewed
selling, declined, especially the war special
ties. Notable exceptions to the declines were
certain coppers, among them Shattack and
Utah, according to advices to Curtiss. Man
ning at Co.. stocks and bonds. First Nacional
bank building. Some of the other coppers.
Including Inspiration and Calumet & Arizona,
were weak with the rest of the market. War
specialties again tumbled under selling, nota
bly Baldwin. Crucible. Car ft Foundry and
ethera. Motor shares also were weak. ln
daatrlala. following the lead of U. & Steel,
were weak and soM at lower figures. Motor
shares were also off.
