To the Honorable Judge and Com
missioners' Court of El Paso County,
Texas. Gentlemen:
As property tax pavers and citizens
living In El Paso, also outside of the
city limits. In Altura. Grandvlew,
Horning siae, .miliary n dents, sum
mit Place and Highland Park, will say
that we are Very much pleased that
the recent bond Issue has carried by
a substantial majority, and feel like
that the work thus well begun can
only end with a good system of roads
for the entire county. If the proceeds
of this lesue produce good results. Wo
haie felt all along that if the needs
er the district in which we live were I
made known to you and the money
i ould be obtained that you would make
a substantial improvement In the way
of a permanent highway through the
immunity, that would best serve all
the people. To this end we respect
fully petition you to begin the Im
provement of Division (Piedras) street
at the .city limits on the north and
pave a permanent roadway as far north
as saj ten thousand dollars will per
mit The reason we name tfils par
ticular street is because It is the only
through street north and south across
the city east of the mountains, and Is
entrally located so as to best serve
i lie most people It will furnish a
permanent link in the county highway
tm and greatly increase values
in this district
