The Fort Bliss depot was established in Jnly, 1916, when the border mobili zation took place. Among the EI Paso boys at the depot are Adolph A. Stoy, chief clerk, and Sgt W. S. Cooke, now training at Camp Taylor, Ey. DEPARTMENT MUCH ENLARGED. The ordnance department of the army is much enlarged since the beginning of the war and has had to establish a large number of supply depots. All the large arsenals in the country come under this department It is the duty of the ordnance department to proenre by purchase or mannfactnre and to dis tribute the necessary ordnance supplies for the army. Ordnance supplies in clude cannon and artillery vehicles and equipment; apparatus and machines for the maneuver of artillery; small arms, ammunition and accouterments; horse equipment and harness for field artillery, horse equipment for cavalry, tools, raachinery, etc, for ordnance service.
