look like the moon, some like the

alee." Uncle Wiggily made remark.
-What ar they for those nick
nacks?" ,
"For a play party." replied Noodle
"Ton see, Toodle, that's my brother
be and I are going to give a little
party for our sister, and we thought
nlckaacks would be nice. Toodle likea
em, and so do I."
"Does your sister like nlckaacksT"
asked Uncle Wiggily.
"Oh vm. ah llkea m too," an
swered Noodle. "But I guess she'll
crlTe Toodle and me all we want.
Uncle Wiggily said nothing, but his
pink nose twinkled in a funny way.
Pretty soon he and the little beaver

Pipsisewah.
'Yes, we can follow their tracks in
the snow and catch 'em and get
souse!" answered the Pip. "Come on
well follow along until we get to
where they are!
So the two bad chaps went alon
and along, and soon they reached the
atone, behind, which sat Uncle Wig
gily and Noodle. Now the rabbit gen
tleman and little boy did not know
the two bad chaps were so near them.
Bnt Noodle, feeling rather hungry,
took from the basket his bat? of ani
mal crackers. He took out a sweet
lion and, just for fun said:
"What shall I do -with this lion.
Uncle Wiggily ?
"Oh. pull his whiskers and then eat
him up!" spoke the bunny with a
laugh. Then Noodle took out a
cracker tiger.
"What shall I do with him?" he
asked.
"Oh. pull his tail and eat him,"
answered the bunny.
"And here's a big bear what shall
I do with him"" asked Noodle, taking
out another cracker, after eating the
first two.
"Oh. pull off his claws and eat
him!" laughed Uncle Wiggily.
Now the Pip and the Skee, on the
other side of the rock, heard this
talk, bat they did not see that the
animals were only cracker ones So
the Pip, when he heard Uncle Wis
gily speak of pulling out the bear s
claw, whispered o the Skee.
"This Is no place for you and me
If Uncle Wiggily and Noodle are so
strong as to treat lions and tigers
and bear like that, what will they do
to us? Come on!"
And away they ran, not knowing
the animals which the bunny and
Noodles talked about were only
cracker ones, like the nicknacks. So
Undo Wiggily and Noodle were
saved and there was a fine time at
the party. And If the fried egg
doesn't make believe he Is Humpty
Dumpty, and try to Jump over the
sugar cookie. I'll tell you next about
Uncle Wiggily and the whirligig.

Noodle," went on the grocery cat. "I

went to look, the Grocery cat had
only half a pound of the nicknack.

the rest in animal crackers will they
do?" asked the cat.

beaver boy replied. So the grocery
cat put in a bas some nicknacks and
some animal crackers elephants,
tigers, lions, camels, horses, sheep
goats and so on all the animals ke
in made out of sweet crackers Just
like the nicknacks.
Then TJncle IVigsily and Noodle
started back over the snow again,
but they had not tone very far be
fore they felt tired, so they sat down
on a log, behind a big stone, to rest.
And while Uncle. Wiggily. with his
butter and bread, and Noodle, with
hia nlclrnarks and animal crackers,
were resting thus, along came the
bad, old Fipsisewah and the worse
Skeezieks.
These two Queer chaps, who were
hungry for souse, saw In the snow
the marks of the paws of Uncle
Wiggily and Noodle Flat-Tall
