a hole in the button, and she stuck

It was almost fastened on, and
Susie was getting ready to break off
the thread, and Mr. Loneears was
thinking of the adventure he might
have that day when, all af a sudden,
the door of the burrow underground
house opened, and in sneaked the
Fuzzy Old Fox.

barked the Fox, carefully closing the

Revenue Increases
Dallas. Texas. Feb. 10. It Is shown
by a report Just Issued by the Texas
and Pacific railway that gross ope
rating revenue for 1919 was approxi
mately 36,1M.90. Gross operating
expenses for the year were 3298M,
t, leaving $6,300,669 net operating
revenue.
In 1915. the gross operating reve
nue was 31&.S64.O60. The gross ope
rating expenses for that year were
312,9t.OM, and the net operating
revenue, 34,&a0,OOO.
The last year broke records with
respect to volume of business. The
Texas oil fields were responsible for
the greater portion of the increase.

El Paso druggists, at a recent
meeting decided they would under
no consideration handle whisky. One
druggist explained that, with fed
eral law concerning- the druggists
and whisky as it is, liquor handling
would be a constant source of grief
to the druggist and that they would
be liable fox the accidental loss of
as little as one ounce.
It is possible that the disposition of
liquor for medicinal purposes, fol
lowing the refusal of the drnirzlsta

sician stated, however, that with the
restrictions for handling the liquor

CLAB HANCOCK played quite a clev
er rose on a rabbit this morning,
and this one tlung nay launch a boom

log. Clab sat down to wait and then,
upon looldag back into the Io, he
found the rabbit was doing the same
thing, whereupon Clab rose and said
out loud that he believed he would go
home. This remark of course was in
tended to fool the rabbit, and sure
enough, believing Clab was gone the
rabbit stuck his head out of the log
and was captured by our wily fellow
townsman. Sidney Hocks says its a wonder to
him how some people keep their
ignorance after exposing it every time
they go out.
