Reflections Of A
By HELEN ROWLAND.
SOMETIMES It looks to a woman
as hough a mas takes up golf
lust in order to have something
to get "swearing mad" about.
Nobody who has not been snap
ahotted in a bathing suit by a relent
less turner kodak fiend knows how
terribly a woman can be "misrepre
sented' in this life.
Perhaps If a bored husband could
watch his wife act all through a five
reel movie drama without hearing
her utter a word, he would fan in
love with her all over again. It isn't
his eyes, hut his ears, that grow so
weary after marriage.
A man can sympathise with
everything -except woman's
passion for suffering. After the
third time he has seen her weep
her tears have no power to move
him except to move him toward
tbe door,
TVny only "filet mignon"? EVERY
THING is so "mignon", nowadays!
Why not the "marriage mignon". the
apartment raignon". tho "dog
mignon." the "Income mignon."
"sugar raignon" and so on, ad In
finitum? The only way la which the average
wife learns anything about her hus
band's real thoughts and opinions is
by gathering them from his friends;
a dock that strikes only the half
hour is frank and communicative be
side a man in the bosom of his
family.
When a man says, Let for
give and forgeti" he means that
if the girl will do the forglvtag,
he will do the forgetting.
When a husband does anything
from the "highest and noblest mo
tives." why does it always turn out
to be something foolish or unreason
able? Copyright, 1K9, by Wheeler
