The net profit was $6,277.70 on no capital invested. FOR PORTAGE ROUTE The l)es Moines-Portage route won out yestenlay in the second Vashon Island election held on the question of the proposed ferry. The question brought out the largest vote ever recorded on Vashon. Tho winning route will give the inland access either to Tacoma or to Seattle, while the Other route was from Vashon heights to Seattle. The vote stood 030 to 4 68. HONOR BOBBIE BURNS Bagpipes piped merrily and Tncoma Scots sang stirring tunes last night in celebration of the l ftfth anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns.
