I.—-Fire of a mysterious origin destroyed the manufacturing plant of Grant, Hidden X- Graham Co., manufac turers of military clothing, en tailing ■ loss of 110,000, KNOW YOUR FACTORIES The Rogers Co.'s Plant Is An The Rogers Co.. 21156 Pacific ay., Tacoma manufacturer and importer of tea, coffees, spices, extracts, etc., has grown since its Incorporation in l.o:i, when a small building on 25th and C st. housed the establishment, to a corporation doing a business of 1169,001 a year. The present plant occupies a nree and a half story building anil employes 4 0 persons. The raw materials such as coffees, spices, peanuts, tea and extract products are imported from all over the world. Coffee Yields Curing An Interesting collection of refuse removed from coffee ber ries shows coins from China, Guatamala. Mexico, Brazil, Dutch East lidies, Salvador and Equa dor. There were beads from the South seas, nails from the Ar gentine and. innumerable other articles from tropicnl countries. This gives some idea as to the Importing scope of this Tacoma Industry. Tho entire top floor of the building is devoted to a manu facturing plant. This floor con tains a coffee and two peanut roasters. The coffee roaster has a maximum output of 4,000 pounds a day.
