the east line of Oakes Street to the
west linn of Alder Street.
Said Improvement shall consist In
grading said portion of said street
to th* established grade, with a
roadway forly-elght (4K) feet In
width, and laying down on said
roadwawy a pavement of asphalt on
a concrete base, with brick gutters,
concrete and concrete steel hound
curbs, hII necesaary storm water
drainage. Also In extending all
walks to curbs, taking up and re
laying tame where necssnry. From
the east line of Oakes Street to a
point ten (10) feet weat of aald
east line, Nordi 21st Street shall be
plunked with four (4) Inch plank.

A vacant dwelling at 3415 So.

berg, was destroyed by fire at
1:30 this morning. There were
no bouses In the vicinity, and by
the time firemen arrived the two
story structure was doomed.

DEMONSTRATED
First aid demonstrations were
given last night by a drill team
from the Roslyn coal mlnea at
Moose ball. It drew bursts of
applause from the spectators. Dr.
