Reveal Nuptials Last Month Miss Slack, Mr. Spooner Wed Quietly at Home of Bride's Parents Although their marriage was performéd more than a month ago, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew A. Spooner (Marga ret Virginia Slack) have just ' recently revealed the news to their friends in Tacoma. The ceremony was performed quietly in the home of the bride’'s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Black, im Tilicum on October 14, Rev. C. Walter Johnson officiating. Mr. Spooner is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Spooner, sr., of 8632 80, 66th =t. Miss Mary Katherine Slack, sister of the bride, was her only attendant and Mr. David Trier of Fort Lewis was best man. Both Mr. and Mrs. Spooner at tended Lincoln high school. Ward McHenry., Mrs. Keith Jones of Portland played the wedding march from “Lohengrin” on the organ preced ing the ceremony. Huckleberry greens, ferns and white ehrysan themums provided a eharming setting for the candielighted cere mony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white slipper satin, cut along empress lines and fashioned with leg o’'mut ton sleeves which tapered to a point at the wrists, tiny buttons down the back and a small train. At her throat was a string of pearis, a gift of the bridegroom. Her finger-tip vell fell from a coronet of seed pearis and she carried a bouguet of white rose buds and bouvardia, tied with satin ribbon. Miss Maxine Inman was maid of honor for her sister. Miss Helen Anders was the brides maid and candielighters were Miss Bernice Speaks and Miss Sylvia Asp of Tacoma Mr. Herbert Haynes, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was best man and ushers were Messrs Corwin Mec- Lean of Corvalis, Ore., ecousin of the bride, and Robert Saunders of Ilwaco.
