LYNDON, WASHINGTON, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1922 LEWIS AUTOMOTIVE CO. DELIVERS FINE SEDAN HERE The Lewis Automotive Com pany of Bellingham has delivered a fine new Nash Six five-passeng er sedan to Mrs. H. H. Jamleson. The car is the newest model of the Nash company, and is so late that no literature or information concerning it has been received on the Coast. The new model is luxuriously fitted in mohair, and Is beautiful ly appointed throughout. Every accessory and convenience has been provided by the manufactur er. Spot-light, automatic swipe, smoking accessories, vanity and card cases, heater, rain visor, and forward and rear bumpers are among the fine appointments provided. An ingeniously devised soft top is one of the new features on the model, the construction doing away with interior rumbling and vibration, a common fault of the old type of closed cars. An un usually large brake drum and a brake that operates with a touch, makes the car exceptionally safe for driving. TIRES ARE ADVANCING— LOCAL MAN TELLS WHY That tires are due for a sharp advance is the opinion of C. C. Kauffman, and he has an inter esting explanation. Already sev eral manufacturers have raised their prices, because of the jump in the price of crude rubber. This has gone up, says Kauf fman, because the British gov ernment has restricted the out put of rubber plantations in Ma laya and Ceylon, with a view to maintaining a profitable market.
