Mr. Jerome Chamberlain, ii. ,ii Almota, Mr. Arthur Thompson and Miss Irene Chamberlain. The ceremony was performed at high noon, Tuesday, May 17th, by Rev. Robert Brumblay, Pastor of M. E. Church, this city, in the presence of a number of relatives, intimate friends and young people. The bridal pair left that afternoon for a short trip to Spokane. Mr. Thompson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. i. x. Thompon, well-known residents of Pullman, and for some time be has been employed at Watt's Phar macy. Miss Chamberlain is well known both In Pullman and Colfax. The young people will return to Pull man to reside. MUSIC FESTIVAL. Fifth Annual May Music Festival at College Auditorium, May 20-27. The» greatest music Festival in the history of the Slate College will oc cur in the college auditorium on Thursday and Friday of next week. While the principal attraction is the concert of the New York Symphony Orchestra, the other concerts are- ex citing much Interest. The' musical re sources of the college will be shown to Rood advantage. For the first time in a number of years the musical de partment will produce an opera. The well known Gilbert and Sullivan opera "Pinafore" will be given with all tin' necessary costumes and set tings. Two noted singers will appeal as soloists with the Damrosch Or chestra. A schedule of the concerts is given be low. Thursday, May 20th. I: p.m.— Violin Recital by Lionel Olttelson, Admlsson BO cents. 8:15 p.m.— Concert by the College Chorus, Glee club and Orchestral and members of tie' Faculty of the School of Music. Admission 50 cents. Friday, May 27th. 1:30 p.m. — Concert, by he New York Symphony Orchestra, Walter Damrosch, conductor. Vocal soloists, Nevada Van der Veer, contralto, and Reed Miller, tenor. Admission $1.50. 8:15 pm. —The Opera Pinafore, with members of the faculty and ad vanced students of the School of Music as principals, and a chorus of sixty voices. Admission, 75 cents. The well-known comic opera. 11. M. S. Pinafore or "The Lass that Loved a Sailor," will be one of the attractive features of the Music Fes tival. This opera Is one of the most noted compositions of Sir Arthur Sullivan, one of England's famous playwrights. The opera is given in two acts and the scene is laid on board an English man-of-war.
