NOTICE CONCERNING COASTING After the fatal accident which oc curred from coasting last Wednes day night, it. is suggested by the city authorities that no bobsleds be used on an* public street and that only single sleds shall be permitted to oast within reasonable hours within the city limits, and that on any oc casion not more than two people may ride on any sled. It is further sug gested that children under six years of age, coasting at an* time on an* street or public property, must be accompanied by parents or guard ians. There is a city ordinance against coasting on any sidewalks in any part of town at any time Any body found violating this ordinance will be punished upon the propel testimony and conviction. XXX Cox ot Colfax gave an excellent ad uresH in which he argued that th*» farmers must organize in order to! hold their own In competition with the interests which make money out of what the farmers produce and what they consume. He briefly ex plained some of the benefit which the Farmers Union had secured lor- Its members, and outlined the plans! of the state executive board tor es tablishing a farmers' bank, and a wholesale buying agency. Mr. Cox was very conservative in his state ments and emphasized the fact that the Union is not antagonistic to the I merchants of any community and does not advise its members to send away for their supplies unless the) can stive money by so doing.
