That man that had dinner with us is now number two in the poli tical heirarchy of the Philippines —— Vice President-elect Diosdado Macapagai. I assure you that you need not have any concern about the incident referred to in your letter. I avail of this opportunity to thank you again and the members of your association for your hospitality during my stay in Seattle. Extending my greetings to you and the members of your aaeociation and wishing you prosperity and success, I am Canex-ely yours, Cuadra, Back From Trip, Enlenains Friends at Dinner To make up for lost time, San tos Cuadra, an employee of the U.S.S. Cableship Myers, gave a very sumptuous chop suey dinner for old times’ sake at the Tai Tung Cate, Saturday night, Dec. 14. Close friends and members of the Ezra. Lodge, No. 56 joined the party. With an eight—course Chinese dinner and a little touch of that strong Phillpplne tea, the dinner was pretty well enjoyed. Mr. Santos recalled his experi ences along the Argentines. New York. New Orleans, South Amer ica, the Panama and several ports abroad. "oh, life is full of surprises," Santos sighed. ,“i like good times and excitementn. and the only way to enjoy life is to meet people and be liberal with your money when you have it. The office telephone has been very buly since my friends learned tint I am back." Among those who attended the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jainga and family. Mr. and Mfl. Salvador D. Elecion was the master of ceremonial. Splendid dinner. prepared under the supervision of Pete Damocles. was served following a round of drinks. 0! course. the inevitable "calding" was also there. And there was even the "binobodsn." which is never served in my Fillipino mtsumnt hers. 3 Bowling News Downtown Bowl keglers are making a respectable representa tion, both in league plays and in tournaments. There are now four members in the 600 an Over Club—Deo Bo lante, 637; John Noble, 630; Lloyd Reynon, 608; and Gene del Rosario, 603. Ninteen are in the 500 and Over Club and sixteen in the 200 and Over Club. single game. Downtown Bowl Team No. 2 and the Filipino Forum Team par ticipated in the Washington State Championship Tournament held in Wenatchee recently. Downtown Bowl Team No. 2 rolled 2695 scratch and with the team handicap of 438, gave them a total team series of 3133, which placed the Downtown Bowl Team No. 2 in the first place. Members of the team are: Pac Lorenzo, Ken Smith, Joe Burshia, Wilson Lee and Monica Acena. The Filipino Forum Team is manned by Toni de Santos, John Noble, Joe Santiago. Gene del Ros ario and Deo Boiante.
