warrant was Issued today for Ah Lee,
the Chinaman iv whose den Herbert
V. Croker is said to have smoked
opium previous to his death, Charles
Wilson, the negro porter who piloted
young Croker to Lee's den, Is held,
but probably will ho released ns the
police believe he tells a straight
story. Chief of Police Hnys said this
morning he believed Croker's death
was due to an overindulgence In opi
um and that he was not drugged or
robbed.
