Fred Parker, J. H. Lynch, Vestal Snyder and other attorneys have received notification of the offer, but have not yet had sufficient time to con sider the proposition to care to ex press an opinion for publication. The matter of the rival claims to the water of the Ahtanum creek for irrigation purposes was discussed with Secretary of the Interior Gar field on the occasion of his visit here and trip to the Ahtanum valley. Suits were pending against the ranchers bv the government to protect tle rights of the Indians.
