put on her honor to conserve food
and abolish extravagant habits. She

A shining example of how quickly
and enthusiastically the housewives
of America have responded to this
honor system in conserving food is to
be found In the garbage collection In
the principal cities of the country.
The last November garbage collection
was 11 per cent lower than the No
vember collection of 1916. The
housewives of Galveston, Texas,
